Led by coach Kyle Erha (Head Coach, Sturgis West boys basketball and Marion Wildcats), SLAM! Tip-Off will help players get into game ready basketball shape a week ahead of their tryouts.
Players will kickstart their basketball cardio through drills and live game action while also learning what it takes to attack the game from the idea of “next play” and the “next man up” philosophy, better preparing themselves for the moment their number is called this season.
Our goal is simple: to put your player in the best possible position to be successful for their tryout.
Players will learn… -ways to improve their dribbling, shooting, passing and finishing -how to improve their individual defense and rebounding -the importance of failure and how to learn from it -not just the “what,” but the “why” of what’s being asked of them -how to prepare themselves mentally on game day and for the season
Players are responsible for bringing their own water and snacks (there will be a 15 minute lecture break each day, where players are encouraged to have a healthy snack to promote recovery).
New registrations will receive a “SLAM! Basketball Clinic” jersey while supplies last. (New registrations are those that did not attend the summer SLAM! clinic. Those who did have already received a SLAM! jersey.)
This clinic is open to everyone, everywhere. You do not need to live in the tri-town to participate.
